Aya is an open-science research project from Cohere Labs (formerly Cohere For AI), focused on building state-of-the-art multilingual AI models — including languages that are typically underserved by mainstream AI research. Built through a global collaboration of thousands of researchers across more than 100 countries, Aya's models and datasets are released openly to help close the gap between English-centric AI and the rest of the world's languages.
